Marcus Tillman was raised in Orlando, FL. His father was a Lab Technician for the Department of Veterans Affairs and his mother a school teacher for Orange County Public Schools. Both parents till this day continue to reiterate the values they instilled in him from a young age. Mr. Tillman is an avid sports fan. Marcus grew up playing football, basketball, and baseball starting in elementary. He played his high school ball at Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, FL where he graduated from. After graduating from Dr. Phillips, Marcus finished his football career at the University of Miami.
Marcus has worked for the United States Government for over 25 years at the United States Postal Service. During that time he helped raise 3 wonderful kids who all went to college: Markisha (University of Central Florida) Marcus Jr (University of Texas) and Miracle (United States Air Force, University of Central Florida). The kids were the Y in his life, that he got up and went to work every day to give them every opportunity to be successful in life.
Living in Orlando almost all of his life, Marcus knows Central Florida very well. Working for the Government gave him the opportunity to meet a lot of people. Doing that time he meet a lot of prominent REALTORS®️. After much conversations with them, Marcus could see himself as being a REALTOR®️. So he decided to take the required class and hours and passed the very challenging State of Florida Real Estate Exam on the first try. After earning his state license Marcus Joined the National Association of Realtors®️. Marcus continued his real estate education to obtain and become a Military Relocation Professional, Gold Key Certified, At Home With Diversity and a Certified International Property Specialist. Marcus is also a member of Orlando Regional Realtor Association Global Council, North Orlando National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, and America’s Homeowner Alliance.
Marcus credits his success to his kids, family, and friends who believed in him to keep pushing to be 1% better every day. Till this day Marcus has not forgotten where he comes from and continues to give back. Marcus hasn’t forgotten his core values and as a REALTOR®️ he continues to strive to be honorable and to abide by the Golden Rule.
